Crashlands, a story-driven RPG from developer Butterscotch Shenanigans, joined Apple Arcade‘s catalog of more than 230 games. Crashlands is now part of the App Store Favorites selection. These games are already in the App Store. Apple Arcade offers them free of ads and in-app purchase. They are often referred to as an “+” version.
In Crashlands, players are cast as Flux Dabes, a galactic trucker whose latest job is bungled by Hewgodooko, an alien. Flux is stranded on an alien planet and must retrieve the shipment’s scattered parcels. They make new friends along the way and discover more about the planet’s past.
Apple Arcade — a CNET Editors’ Choice pick for 2021 — costs $5 per month or $50 annually for access to its massive selection of games, all of which are free of ads and in-app purchases. The service adds new games and updates existing titles every week.
