Bob Saget was a comedian best known for his role as Danny Tanner in “Full House.” He died Sunday. He was 65.
The Orlando County Sheriff’s Office announced the news on Sunday.

The cause of death is not known at this time.
Since September Saget was on a stand-up tour across the country that was due to conclude in June. He tweeted a picture from the Jacksonville concert hall where he had performed the night before, the morning of his passing. Although Saget originally had his heart set on becoming a doctor, one of his high school teachers saw something special in him and suggested a career in filmmaking – and he took that suggestion. He won the Temple University Student Academy Award for “Through Adam’s Eyes”, a film about a boy who had reconstructive facial surgery.
Following a short run on CBS’ “The Morning Program,” Saget was cast as Danny Tanner in the family-friendly TV comedy “Full House.” In 1989, as the show’s popularity grew, Saget took on a second show, “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” where he remained until 1997.
