Google says it’s aware of a problem with Pixel 4A 5G touchscreens and is working on a repair. Some devices are failing to react consistently to taps on the lower part of the screen, which is especially impacting people who have chosen for three-button navigation rather than swipes. Android Police seen complaints against 4A 5G owners experiencing the issue, which appears to have cropped up following the December security patch was released.
Google’s answer comes courtesy of a Pixel support forum article. The business says it’s going to address the problem”in an upcoming software update”, but it is looking like this will be at least a few more weeks off since Android Police reports January’s safety patch didn’t address it.
