Hack together your own e-paper smartwatch with this $50 open-source kit

If you’ve ever wished to be like Steve Wozniak and have your very own custom-made, geeky watch, Squarofumi (stylized SQFMI) may have the product for you: an open minded, Arduino-powered smartwatch with some 1. 54-inch e-paper screen (via Gizmodo). It’s known as the Watchy, and the hardware and software are totally customizable. You can, however, use it directly out of the box, since the PCB functions as the body and contains points to attach an eye strap. And to top it off, it’s just $50, available for $45 in the time of writing.
