Lonboarder Josh Neuman compiled this compilation while filming longboarding over ten year. He speaks out about
, his closest call.
What happened: A crew member drove down in front of us while we were on a production shoot and blocked off the road for a minute. Because we were trying to get footage before the sunset, and the lighting was great, our communication regarding the exact location of the car blocking the road was poor. As you see in the video, the result is us having to swerve off to the side of the road to avoid hitting the car that was parked roughly 200 feet closer than it should’ve been. If we don’t have walkie talkies or a spotter to let us know that the road is clear , then we never make a blind turn into the opposite lane.
It’s great to see that he has a team of spotters and other support, but it’s still shocking how little protection he is wearing. Even with all the precautions taken, I wouldn’t be able to do this without full motorcycle armor and enough pillows to make me look like Michelin Man.
