A New Novel in the Shakugan No Shana Series Coming After an 11 Year Hiatus

The Shakugan No Shana series, which just recently received new life thanks to a feature-length film and an upcoming novel, is a long-running light novel series that has captivated fans for over a decade. Written by Yashichiro Takahashi and illustrated by Noizi Ito, it tells the story of Yuji Sakai, a high school student living in modern-day Japan. During night classes at school, Yuji finds himself transported to a different world where supernatural forces called “Crimson Denizens” terrorize people. This is how he meets Shana, a warrior with a burning sword and the will of a god as her guide.

The story quickly jumps from one world to another, introducing a variety of characters and settings.
